Here’s another favorite from the butterfly house we visited over Memorial Day weekend. I didn’t notice the tattered wing until I looked at the photo later in Lightroom. They are very fragile creatures!

Day 153 – Butterfly Hanging On
Over the Memorial Day weekend, we took a lovely trip down to the DC area to visit some old friends. While we were there, we had the chance to go out and visit Brookside Gardens and visit their Butterfly House. It was amazing — butterflies everywhere!
This little guy was hanging on with one leg to a flower petal.

For some reason, I really like this photo. I’m not 100% certain why, but I think it has something to do with the fact that every time I look at it, it brings back memories of being there.

I’ve heard no trip to London is complete without a trip to Buckingham Palace. The whole thing is very ornate, and worthy of photos — especially the gate!
