It would be interesting to see what a camera produced JPG looked like next to a RAW processed using the LR profile. I tweak my camera, a point of contrast etc and my jpg is far better than the raw with any of the lr profiles. I'm not really sure who at Adobe would be the correct person to ask / inform. I'm not familiar with the settings on the A700, but are there any custom settings in the camera which will change the colors? I know many cameras allow setting the contrast and even shooting mode such as Vivid. Are these set? Good luck! Thankfully, they haven't gotten rid of the 4.4 profiles yet!
