Daily Photos – 2011

So… Last year I attempted to post a daily photo.  And for the most part, it went okay for the first few months, and then totally came to a screeching halt as life got busy.  And frankly, I really missed it during the second half of the year.

Photography for me is a relaxing hobby most of the time.  I enjoy the technical aspects and I enjoy thinking about creative presentation.  Based on experiences of last year, I found that in an unexpected turn of events, I find it really rewarding when I receive comments from people all around the world on my blog.  You see — I never expected that people would find my photos, and even if they did, I never expected them to actually comment!  It just goes to show that capturing moments in time spans language and culture, and that’s really cool!

This year, my wife and I decided that we wanted to take on this project together.  Except we wanted to add a twist — a theme for every month.  After much discussion, we decided that we’d start off the year with color, the rainbow actually.  So, for the month of January, we’re each going to take a photo of a color in the order of the rainbow – ROYGBIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet).  Since today is the first day, we’re starting with red.  Tomorrow will be orange, and so on, until February.

If anyone else is interested in joining us, feel free to post a comment with your blog where people can find your photos and I’ll add a link here.

So, without further ado, I present:
