Yellow Lemons

Interestingly enough, I have precious few yellow items around the house. However, after thinking all day about exactly what I would photograph for today, I started cooking dinner (Pan Seared Scallops with Asparagus and Leeks for anyone curious) and the recipe called for a lemon.  Needless to say, I grabbed the camera and came up with this.

NIKON D200 @ 50mm — ¹/60 sec, ƒ/2.8, ISO 100 | zoom in
Day 3 - Yellow Lemons

Originally, I wasn’t going to crop the photo which was shot horizontally. But after playing around in Lightroom a bit, I found that the vertical perspective really worked better.

My wife has also been doing the daily photo challenge which is a bit of a stretch for her, not from the photographic standpoint, but from the post processing part of the equation.  I really like her shot today! (Or check out all her daily photos)
